Summer baby: Keep some cotton clothes to hand
Monday, August 24, 2015

Hot days are a tough one with a new born as you are very conscious of them overheating, especially as they cannot yet regulate their body temperature. What is useful though is to have a couple of sets of cotton clothes to hand. These are thinner in nature (vs babygrows and vests) and allow your baby to stay that bit cooler. For girls - cotton dresses are a good option as they allow air to circulate around the legs and for boys - cotton shorts and shirt. Just be careful as many of these items of clothing could have buttons on the back which may press into your baby's back whilst they sleep (if they sleep on their back). For my daughter I used to turn her dresses the other way around if I could and have the buttons at the front.
